O type watertube boiler design
O type watertube boilers feature a symmetrical design, with a steam drum centered above a mud drum at the bottom. The combustion chamber is housed in the middle between convection tubes and water wall tubes, which visually form the letter O. The symmetrical configuration makes it ideally suited for restrictive floor plans. Manways at both ends of the drums provide easy access, and gas-tight furnace areas yield optimum emissions performance, boiler reliability, and longevity with reduced maintenance costs.
Watertube boiler: O type
IB&M proudly offers O-type watertube boilers available from 10,000 PPH up to 500,000 PPH of steam flow, well suited for high-pressure superheated steam where needed. Larger field-erected solutions are also available. "O" Type boiler pressure ranges from 250 PSIG to 1,500 PSIG and steam temperatures up reach to 1,050 degrees F.
